The increase in crime in the country, like the brutal home invasion of former presidential candidate, Ricardo Toledo, Wednesday night, has the Fiscalía washing its hands and urging more police in the streets.

Tránsito Ready For Semana Santa
The ministra de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT), Karla González, confirmed yesterday that the Policía de Tránsito (traffic police) are ready for Semana Santa, a campaign that will include more operatives (road side checkpoints) and a zero tolerance on drinking and driving, in an effort to reduce the mortality rate on the roads due to traffic accidents.
