New Cuban Ambassador in Nicaragua
Cuba's Council of State has appointed Luis Hernandez Ojeda as new extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Republic of Nicaragua, Granma newspaper reported Friday.

Before his appointment, Hernandez was an official from the International Relations Department at the Cuban Communist Party s Central Committee.

Council of State Vice President Juan Almeida Bosque and acting interim Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla welcomed Thursday Sr. Luis Cabrera Gonzalez as new ambassador.

Brazil s ambassador Sr. Bernardo Pericas Neto and Cyprus Sr. Antonis Grivas were also welcomed here in similar ceremonies.

All these acts of presentation were attended by Angel Reigosa de la Cruz, director of Protocol, the daily stated.
