Morales to Authorities: Work for
Bolivia
President of Bolivia Evo Morales
has called on authorities to
renounce partisan political
interests and join efforts to
develop the nation.
Morales made the invitation on
Friday, during a handing over
ceremony of $1.7 million to
build a campus in Warnes
municipality, in the presence of
opposition civil governor Ruben
Costas.
Only by joining efforts of all
Bolivians, the country will be
able to attain its development
goals and meet the needs of its
inhabitants, said Morales.
He called civil governors and
mayors to coordinate actions to
deal with problems faced by
Bolivians.
The president also called on
Warnes municipality to be the
first in wiping out illiteracy
in Santa Cruz by implementing
the "Yo Si Puedo" (Yes, I Can)
method, aided by Cuba and
Venezuela, in order to declare
the nation illiteracy-free by
2008.
