Nicaragua to Protest US War in
Iraq
The Nicaraguan population will
protest in front of the US
embassy against the invasion of
that country against Iraq.
It will be an act to support
people faced with the militarism
that Washington tries to impose,
reported Jose Mulligan, priest
and leader of Ecclesiastic
Communities of Managua.
The religious organization is
directed by the US priest in
Nicaragua and it is the main
promoter of the protest which
will be held in front of the US
diplomatic headquarters.
The demonstration has support
from the Nicaraguan social
movement "Otro Mundo es Posible,"
which called the population "to
condemn a war based on lies and
to demand the immediate
cessation of the Iraq criminal
occupation".
