Quake Shakes Panama, No Victims
A 5.5 earthquake (Richter scale)
was registered in the northern
coast of Panama Wednesday
morning without causing damage
or victims, the National Civil
Protection System (SINAPROC)
reported.
The SINAPROC report, citing the
University of Panama s Institute
of Geosciences, noted the quake
occurred at 8:58 local time with
an epicenter 24.2 miles deep,
associated with the North of
Panama Belt.

general director, said the quake
was felt in the cities of Colon
and Panama, but repeated that it
did not cause damage or victims.
