El Salvador Aftershocks Continue
Aftershocks of a 6.1earthquake continue shaking El Salvador, with no human damages, the National Service of Territorial Studies (SNET) reported on Saturday.

According to a bulletin published by the institution, the earthquake struck at 15:02 local time (21:02 GMT), and also in Honduras and Nicaragua.

The epicenter, a 124-mile deep, was located in the Fonseca Gulf, Pacific coast, where the three Central American countries converge.

Since early January, the SNET decreed the state of alert for those islands of the Fonseca Gulf faced with the persistence of an earth tremor.

A government release highlighted that those telluric processes started around the Salvadorian island of Meanguera on October 22, 2006 and they still continue.
