Eldest Man in Costa Rica Says
"Moonshine" Is Part of His
Secret to Longevity
Rafael Mora, a resident of
Alajuela, at 114 years of age is
the oldest registered person in
Costa Rica.
Mora recently told the Spanish
daily newspaper Al Día that he
enjoys life to the fullest and
thinks of living as long as God
wants him to.
Mora, at his age, still
continues with his daily chores,
who says that milk soup,
homemade bread and a drink of
his concoction are his secret to
longevity. The drink he refers
to, but won't give out details,
are a contraband that he has
made for many years, including
one time he was arrested for its
production.
The elder says that he has not
lost his love for work,
complaining that his family
continually hides his tools.
Mora said that if he sees an axe
laying around, he will grab it
and go chop some firewood.
