Arias, along with several ministers and government functionaries, has been touring the province of Puntarenas, with special emphasis on Chacarita, Barranca and Puntarenas centre, as the government is delivering on its promise of housing, housing bonds and support for small businesses of the area.

The first stop was in Chacarita were 32 poor families were given their homes in an investment of ˘143 million colones by the government.

The president then visited several schools in the area in promoting the program Avancemos where, with the assistance of the Instituto Mixto de Ayuda Social (IMAS), the schools will receive financial aid to better their infrastructure.
