Large Cuba Presence at Panama
Trade Fair
Almost 40 Cuban firms and over
60 businesspeople will attend
Expocomer 2007, the 25th
international trade fair
beginning Wednesday in the
Panamanian capital.
The vice president of Cuba´s
Chamber of Commerce, Odalis
Leijo, told the local stand will
cover about 2152 square feet,
adding this is one of the
largest Cuban delegations
attending a Panamanian fair.
The objective is to promote
Cuban goods and services, and
make deals, the official noted,
and mentioned Tecnoazucar, Coral
S.A Group, Cuba Ron Corporation,
and Asticar among the firms
attending the event.
Expocomer 2007 president
Fernando Arango revealed
commercial transactions over 120
million dollars are expected to
be made during the show, to be
inaugurated by Panamanian
President Martin Torrijos at the
Atlapa Convention Center.
