Nicaragua-Venezuela for New
Integration
The first Venezuela-Nicaragua
mixed commission meeting will
finish Tuesday in this capital
after two days of reviewing the
cooperation agreements signed
between the two countries last
January.
This Tuesday morning the five
work groups will continue while
the delegations hold a plenary
session early in the afternoon.
The closing session of the
meeting will be held at the end
of the activity and will include
Venezuelan President Hugo
Chavez, who will supervise the
agreements signed on January 11
with his Nicaraguan counterpart,
Daniel Ortega.
The head of the Venezuelan
delegation and Minister of
Agriculture and Land, Elias Jaua
assured, at the Mixed Commission
inauguration, Chavez gave him
orientations to help with each
of the 12 cooperation
agreements.
"Our objective is to prove that
another kind of integration is
possible, that people not only
can get together by trade but
also through solidarity and the
hope for a better world,"
assured the minister.
