Gas Prices Increase Tomorrow
The price of gasoline goes up at
the stroke of midnight tonight,
following the publication of the
latest approval by the Autoridad
Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) in the
official government publication,
La Gaceta, today.
The price of a litre of super
gasoline will jump ¢17 colones,
while a litre of regular jumps
¢19 colones.
The increase is based on
fluctuations in the price of
crude oil on world markets and
blamed on the extreme cold
weather in North America.
In this round of price
increases, diesel stays the
same, howerver an application to
increase the price by ¢12
colones a litre is pending
approval.
