Guatemala Nabs 2nd String Assassins
Guatemalan police arrested agent Carlos Humberto Orellana Aroche in La Libertad, Peten State on Monday, for participating in the assassination of three Salvadorian deputies and their driver.

On February 19, members of the Guatemalan Police Crime Investigation Section assassinated Latin American Parliament deputies Juan Ramon Gonzalez, William Pichinte and Eduardo D'aubuisson, as well as their driver Gerardo Ramirez.

The alleged material authors of the crime, agents Luis Arturo Herrera Lopez, Jose Korki Lopez, Jose Adolfo Gutierrez and Marvin Langen Escobar, were later murdered in prison.

Investigators pointed out that accused Orellana Aroche and Marvin Natareno were in the crime's second echelon and served as intermediaries with top rank officials for the operation.

Five members of a drug gang were also arrested for this reason in western Jutiapa State on the frontier with El Salvador.

However, five months after the crime, nothing is known about the intellectual authors of the crime.
