Cuba Hosts International
Pedagogy Congress
Most of the over 5,500 delegates
from about 30 countries
attending Pedagogy 2007 Congress
are already in Havana, where the
biannual international
pedagogic, scientific event will
be held January 29-February 3.
This tenth edition will focus on
the Latin American and universal
pedagogical thinking, as well as
contributions to achieve quality
education for all, in the
framework of the south-south
cooperation.
This year´s program includes a
record 2,411 papers, with
Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, and
Brazil as the nations presenting
the highest number of works,
with 879, 754, 382, and 187,
respectively.
The list of participants
includes delegates from Latina
America, Africa, Asia, Oceania,
and North America. The largest
delegations are those from
Venezuela, with 1,500 members,
Cuba and Mexico, about 1,300
each one, and Bolivia, about
100. A large amount of
representatives from regional
universities will attend the
forum as well.
