La Fortuna Bridge Closed,
Alternate Route Recommended
If you travelling to La Fortuna
and the Arenal Volcano, be
advised that the bridge Peñas
Blancas will be completely
closed for the construction of a
new bridge.
Visitors to the area are asked
to use the alternate route by
way of Javillo.
Another alternate route to La
Fortuna is by way of Naranjo/Zarcero
that takes you through San
Carlos (Cuidad Quesada) and
points north to La Fortuna,
Arenal and Neuvo Arenal.
The closure is expected for the
next two months.
