Destination Club Opens Resort in
Costa Rica
Exclusive Resorts has taken a
new step in the world of
destination clubs and
constructed its own members-only
resort community.
The destination club industry
typically purchases individual
homes in existing resort
communities for their members to
use instead of hotel rooms.
Members pay a fee to join and
have the option of using
properties around the world.
Until now, the industry has been
content to buy into existing
communities.
Denver-based Exclusive Resorts,
the leading company in the
industry, on Wednesday unveiled
its Poro Poro development on the
north Pacific coast of Costa
Rica.
Poro Poro is a us$75 million,
20-acre development with 21
4,000-square-foot homes and a
20,000-square-foot clubhouse.
The first 10 homes will be
available to the 2,500 members
of Exclusive Resorts this month.
The rest will be available this
summer.
Exclusive Resorts is building
six other resort developments to
open this year and next,
including in Vail, Maui and the
British West Indies.
