Cuban Secret Agent Film in
Mexico
"Secretos desde el malecon
habanero," a documentary that
tells the life of Nestor Baguer,
a journalist and Cuban security
agent who infiltrated the US
Central Intelligence Agency, was
screened in this capital.
Baguer, known as Agent Octavio,
worked as a Cuban representative
of Reporteurs Sans Frontiers," a
CIA-linked organization in Paris
that supplied him considerable
funds.
The film received several awards
in the Cinema Festival of the
Italian city of Chiavari for its
historic rigor, professionalism
and screen adaptation from a
book.
