Costa Rica Wants Venezuela to
Find Solution About
Exports
Costa Rican trade authorities
contacted their Venezuelan
counterparts in search of a
solution to the plight undergone
by some Costa Rican exporters as
a result of the bureaucratic
routine to get foreign currency
in Venezuela.
Minister of Foreign Trade Marco
Vinicio Ruiz told AP that a
notice was forwarded last week
to Venezuelan Minister of Light
Industries and Trade María
Cristina Iglesias.
"We have started a formal
dialogue, firstly, through the
Venezuelan embassy here (in
Costa Rica), then by means of
arrangements of the Costa Rican
embassy in Caracas.
Last week, I sent a letter to
the minister (Iglesias), where I
addressed the issue and asked
her to clarify it. We are now on
the way to talks in order to
find a solution."
