Gasoline Prices Drop Tomorrow;
Diesel Up
Don't fill that tank until
midnight tonight, as the
approval of a latest gasoline
reduction was published today in
the official government
publication, La Gaceta, and
takes effect at the stroke of
midnight tonight.
Regular gasoline will drop ¢26
colones per litre, while super
drops ¢28 colones per litre.
However, diesel goes up ¢17
colones.
The approval from the Autoridad
Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) was given
before the Christmas holidays as
a "rebalancing" of prices.
The drop in oil products also
means lower costs of asphalt,
nafta, kerosene and av-gas.
However, Bunker fuel and Jet A-1
fuels go up.
The new gasoline prices at pump
at midnight will be: regular
¢460, down from ¢486, super
¢488, down from ¢516, and diesel
¢364 up from ¢347.
