Chavez Holiday Cheer for Fidel
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez sent wishes for a prompt recovery to his Cuban counterpart, Fidel Castro, whom he also gave presents for the 48th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, local press highlighted Tuesday.

Along with the presents, Chavez sent congratulations to Fidel Castro and the Cuban people, wishing for the Cuban leader s full recovery, according to Granma daily.

Venezuelan carvings and handicrafts, a collection of books including the Complete Works of Liberator Simon Bolivar, and the biography of pro-independence fighter Francisco de Miranda are among the gifts.
