Nicaragua's Future President
Against Hussein Execution
Nicaragua President-elect Daniel
Ortega described the execution
of the Iraqi dignitary Saddam
Hussein as cruel crime and
affront against the human rights
of his people.
The execution of President
Saddam Hussein proves the
prevalence of cruelty and hate
once again, assures the
communiqué signed by the general
secretary of the Sandinista
National Liberation Front to
assume the Nicaraguan presidency
on January 10.
The international laws, it adds,
have been violated once again in
Iraq, a country occupied, bombed
and submitted to the cruelest
tortures, affronts, humiliations
and genocide tried to be
justified but uncovered
worldwide.
By condemning this new crime we
join the humanity´s clamor
demanding the immediate
withdrawal of the occupation
forces as well as the return of
sovereignty, peace, dignity and
the independent life to Iraq,
the document stresses.
Ortega considers that the
execution of Hussein denies the
validity of the proposals and
decisions intended to achieve
solutions to that irrational war
against the brave and suffered
Iraqi people.
