Habano Cigar Festival Lights up
With the presence of more than
1,500 international
participants, the 9th Habano
Festival starts Sunday including
a varied program of meetings,
exhibits, dinners, and expert
meetings.
With the novel presentation of
brands Cohiba Maduro and Reserva
de Montecristo, the 9th Habano
Festival constitutes the most
important meeting of its kind in
the world.
As in other editions, the
closing dinner and activity in
EXPOCUBA will include an auction
of humidors and presentation of
the 2006 Habano awards.
The prizes cover the fields of
communication, business and
production, and celebrities
always appear in the lists, when
the first category was for
British actor Jeremy Irons last
year.
Traditional contests like
Habanosommelier and
Habanos-Armangnac will be
maintained to match the best of
the best in cigar selection and
other activities, as well as the
Commercial Fair, international
seminars and more.
Spokesmen from Habanos S.A. said
that 2007 brings surprises like
a new line of cigars matured for
five years with three formats.
