Central American, Caribbean
Ministers Talk Region
The meeting of foreign Ministers
of the Central American
Integration System and the
Caribbean Community is to end
with the signing of an Action
Plan on exchange in priority
areas for human development.
SICA and CARICOM have also
coordinated their foreign
policy, international trade,
investments, air transportation,
tourism, culture, security,
anti-corruption and organized
crime policies.
The Belize report on the
Multilateral Mechanism of
Evaluation on human traffic was
of great relevance.
Also important is that the
so-called Group C-4 (El
Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras
and Nicaragua) will submit a
Free Trade Area with the CARICOM.
The goal is to boost commercial
exchange seeking complementation
of the respective economies
since the CARICOM is an oil
derivative exporter while the
others major in agribusiness.
