Health System On Strike Monday
If you have a doctor's
appointment or a scheduled visit
to any of the country's public
hospital and clinics operated by
the Caja Costarricense de Seguro
Social (CCSS), be aware that the
national health system will on
strike on Monday, as medical
workers join the march against
the Tratado Libre de Comercio
(TLC).

to become naturalized in Costa
Rica are required to take
classes in the history and
idiosyncrasies of Costa Rican
and Spanish offered by the
Ministerio de Educacíob Pública
(MEP), and irrispective of their
nationality, must present to the
Registro Civil the exam results.
