Cantaloupes, Baby Food
Flagged With Warnings
Consumers in Quebec are being
warned not to eat Dole brand
cantaloupes because they may be
contaminated with salmonella.
The Canadian Food Inspection
Agency (CIFA)said the
cantaloupes, which originated in
Costa Rica, were sold between
Feb. 9 and 16 in Quebec.
There have been no reported
cases of illness.
The CFIA is also warning of
possible contamination of
Earth's Best brand baby foods
with Clostridium botulinum.
The apple-peach-barley baby food
that is subject to the consumer
warning is not sold in Canadian
stores, but is available through
Internet sales.
