Japan Donates us$540,000 To Nicaragua For Schools
The Japanese government donated us$540,000 dollars to Nicaragua  to finance the building and re-building of schools in several parts of the country.

Japanese Ambassador Mitsuhiro Kagami said in Managua that his country remains interested in supporting Nicaragua under the government of Sandinista Daniel Ortega, who was inaugurated as president on January 10.

Kagami said Japanese cooperation with the Central American country over the past several years has prioritized rural education, with the construction of 177 schools and the reconstruction of a 103 others in several Nicaraguan provinces.
