Raul Castro Says Fidel on the Mend
Cuban First Vice President Raul Castro said that President Fidel Castro is getting better every day and is up to date on current events and doing physical therapy.

After attending the opening ceremony of the 16th International Book Fair on Thursday, Raul Castro stated that the head of State is faithfully engaged in exercise and telephone consultations on top issues.

"Fidel is consulted about the most important questions, and although he does not interfere, he is informed on everything, and frequently communicates with Carlos Lage, Felipe Perez Roque and others" said Raul.

The acting president of Cuba visited the Havana International Book Fair, which lasts until February 18 in the capital, but extends to the rest of provinces and concludes in eastern Cuba March 11.
