3.000 illegals Rejected To Date
Coming into Costa Rica illegally
is not as easy as in the past,
immigration officials reveal
with their rejection statistics.
This year to day, immigration
officials have rejected some
3.000 who attempted to enter the
country in an illegal manner.
Of the three thousand, the
majority are Nicaraguan
nationals, followed by 28
Panamanians, 10 Colombians and 5
Americans.
The border crossings at Peñas
Blancas and Los Chiles, both in
the northern sector bordering
with Nicaragua, had the majority
of the rejections on record.
All foreigners who tried to
enter Costa Rica illegally where
sent back to their country of
origin, according to the
immigration department.
