Wanted Korean is NOT in Costa
Rica, Immigration Director Says
The Director de Migración, Mario
Zamora, said yesterday that the
presence of Seok Jung Myung, the
Korean national wanted for more
than 10.000 violations, is only
a "rumour".
"We have no reliable indication
that this person entered the
country, only rumours and then
only far fetched", said Zamora
when questioned.
Zamora added that according to
reports of whereabouts of the 61
year old Myung, is that he
entered Mexico and then went to
Guatemala, using a Japanese
passport. Zamora said that he
probably isn't travelling alone
but joined by parishioners,
which would leave a trace of
their movements.
The immigration director added
that they have detected no such
movements, not only on the entry
to the country records nor of
the records of hotels. "We are
looking into every entry by
Japanese nationals to discard
any possibility that he is in
Costa Rica", said director
Zamora.
Myung is on the Interpol wanted
list for the sexual violation of
members of his sect. The
international police
organization has posted his
capture in 150 countries.
