New Website for Expats in Costa Rica Offers Clever Ways to Stay in Touch
A new website launched this week that brings "expats" one step closer to their friends and families via the Internet.

Yourville.com, a free online community, enables its members to meet online, share information, and stay connected throughout the world.

In addition, Yourville provides its members the inside scoop on great fun places to enjoy in Costa Rica, as well as resources, classifieds, and services listings from a multitude of Costa Rica locations.

“The idea behind Yourville was to create a community for Expatriates so that they could keep in touch with their family and friends in their home country, and meet other like-minded folks in their new country,” said Chris Mullins, yourville.com founder and website developer. “This all came about for me when I was researching moving out of the country and noticed a lack of communities for this demographic.”

According to Mullins, social networking on the Internet has become almost a daily way of life for many worldwide. Where, initially, the Internet was used primarily as a research tool by many, today it has become a social fixture of global cultures, allowing Internet users instant communication with friends and family, and a valuable tool for bloggers whose postings include viewpoints on thousands of subjects.

“I firmly believe that the growing number of expats in Costa Rica are an underserved genre and, hopefully, we can do a great job of helping people communicate better and faster while, at the same time, make their social networking more fun.”
