Panamanian Neoliberal Policies Denounced
The leader of FRENADESO (National Front for Social and Economic Rights) Saul Mendez, slammed the neoliberal policies of the latest Panamanian governments, which only caused more poverty and inequality.

In a statement to La Estrella daily, the social activist said that the strategies implemented since early last decade, and which continue being applied by the current administration, have weakened the State as an institution and not covered the needs of the population

Mendez quoted as example the case of the Social Security Fund, which was deprived of its finances, autonomy, and assistance for the Panamanian people, and criticized the management of the successive governments of Guillermo Endara, Ernesto Perez Balladares, Mireya Moscoso, and the current administration of Martin Torrijos.

The FRENADESO leader referred to the current Panamanian health crisis seen in the poisoning of various medicines which caused the death of over 50 people.
