Mel Gibson Loves Costa Rica
Mel Gibson it appears loves Costa Rica and visits at every chance he gets, even if it to attend a funeral, as he did when was present at the funeral of Mauricio Amuy's mother in Punterenas last Monday.

Amuy, a Costa Rican actor who was the star in Mel Gibson's Apocalypto, said he was surprised at the Gibson attendance, especially since Amuy is suing Gibson for the removal of his name from the film credits.

Those attending the funeral mass at the Iglesia de Miramar heard the loud sound of a helicopter and saw a man protected by three bodyguards get off and enter the church. To their surprise it was none other that the movie stat and director himself.

Amuy said that Gibson came to give his condolences personally.

"I believe he wanted to ingratiate me", said Amuy. Amuy added that, though the visit was a surprise, his mother was well known to all those who participated in the filming of Apocalypto and especially to the people at ICON, Gibson's production company.
