Medina Murder Trial Ends, Verdict In Two Weeks
After more than two on trial and almost four in preventive detention, the fate of Catholic priest, Minor Calvo, businessman, Omar Chavez, and a group of others indicted for the murder of journalist Parmeion Medina, may be over in minutes as the judges retire to consider the evidence and will hand down its verdict at 3:30pm on December 19.

Calvo asked God for the judges' clarity in their decision.

Parmenio Medina, journalist and host of the controversial radio program "La Patada", was killed on July 7, 2001 outside of home when gunmen opened fire on his vehicle before entering his driveway.

Calvo and Chavez, are accused of being the masterminds behind the crime who was committed by a number of the other accused standing trial with them.
