877 Violent Deaths Recorded For the Year to Date
Last month, November, the number of violent deaths decreased, however, December has begun with a fury. According to the statistics of the Cruz Roja (Red Cross), 877 deaths were recorded on the scene up to the end of November, on average 80 a month.

In December, the number is already up to 8, bring the total for the year to 885.

The majority of the deaths, according to Red Cross figures, were due to aggression, explained as one person killing another, mainly by gunshot, many killed at the scene, and in one case in front of a police station.

Traffic accident deaths total 283, 135 of those dying from being run over by a vehicle. Following the list are 92 deaths resulting from aquatic accidents.

The Red Cross list continues with 78 persons dying from falls or precipitation, electrocution and 24 deaths caused by severe burns>

Receiving the "medal of honour" is aviation accidents which produced not one death this year, according to the Red Cross.

In addition to the deaths, the Red Cross says it transferred some 2.550 patients in delicate condition, be it from traffic accidents, stabbings, shootings, etc, to medical centres. Red Cross death figures do not include any deaths occurred from those transfers, as hospital officials do not worry themselves to report the statistics.
