Panama, Caribbean Cruise Destiny
Panama has become Latin America's most promoted tourist destiny because of its geographical position, political stability and economic growth, assured President Martin Torrijos.

The dignitary's assessment was made during a presentation ceremony for Port of Origin of Royal Caribbean cruises, held at the Yellow House of the Presidency of the Republic.

Torrijos said that cruise activity in the region will be important for the development of the country and committed himself to guaranteeing the success of this project.

He added that the enlargement of the Canal means a tourist incentive and provides new jobs.

The Port of Origin will be established on December 2008 and do mega-yacht tours capable of transporting over 2,500 persons..

Excursions will start in Cartagena and Santa Maria, on the Caribbean cost of Colombia, then will travel to Aruba, Bonaire and Curazao and finish in the Port of Colon.
