Panama, Nicaragua for Economic Ties
Promotion of investments, bilateral cooperation, and signing of a free trade agreement were the key issues discussed by Panamanian and Nicaraguan representatives here, an official source informed Tuesday.

Panamanian Trade and Industry Minister Alejandro Ferrer called the meeting positive, pointing out it will strengthen bilateral relations.

Both parties agree on development policies, such as banana production, and on their interests as vulnerable economies in the World Trade Organization, he noted.

Nicaragua is an important commercial partner for our country, decisive for the successful operation of the Colon Free Zone, and as export destination, Ferrer highlighted.
