Bush To Host Arias Next Month
U.S. president George W. Bush
will meet with his Costa Rican
counterpart, Oscar Arias, in
Washington on December 6, the
White House announced.
"Costa Rica is an important
regional ally of the United
States, and this visit
underscores the friendship and
cooperation between the United
States and Costa Rica," White
House press secretary Tony Snow
said in a statement.
"The president and President
Arias will be discussing a range
of issues, including the
importance of democracy, free
trade and economic prosperity,
and continuing cooperation in
areas of mutual interest," Snow
added.
