Canadian Firm Says Wrongly
Accused
Responsible Planetary Concepts
Incorporated RPC)
international director, Darrel
W. Simonson, says that his
company is being falsely accused
by a disgruntled investor.
In a telephone call to
Insidecostarica.com and followed
up by e-mail, Simonson says that
RPC is not an "investment
company" nor do they have
"investment programs", they are
a marketing company.
Simonson said that he news story
of
March 28 was a result of
a Newfoundland resident who had
gone on a morning talk show
badmouthing the company.
Simonson said the story relates
to a distributor in Newfoundland
who believed could invest in
low-income housing in Costa Rica
and receive a large return for
their investment.
"We have no idea where that idea
came from, in fact nothing in
our promotional material,
corporate documentation or web
site material has ever referred
to this scenario. We are a
marketing company and we sell
products. The only way our
distributors make money in our
program is by selling products",
said Simonson.
"It is unfortunate that some
people have decided that it is
easier to try and discredit a
company by blaming them for
their own failure to meet their
commitments", Simonson added.
RPC began operations in November
of 2004 and has been
aggressively marketing a variety
of unique and socially
responsible products utilizing a
large distributor network and
the concepts of Relationship
Marketing.
RPC is a marketing arm of the
RPC International Trust
Foundation located in San José,
Costa Rica. The mandate of the
Foundation is to conduct
humanitarian projects throughout
the world with a main focus of
providing low income housing
opportunities to people in need.
The first projects are currently
in construction in Costa Rica in
the lower income neighbourhood
of Desamparados, south of San
José and Cuidad Quesada.
From the income generated by the
sale of our unique products, RPC
sends a large portion of the
profits to the RPC International
Trust Foundation, who in turn is
accountable by law to carry out
the mission stated in its
mandate.
