Ecuador Suspicious over FTA
The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that Ecuador is negotiating with the US is a source of concern for many people, who are demanding clarity on this deal.

Latest polls show the Ecuadorian distrust over the talks, which started March 23, between Quito authorities and US negotiators.

A poll conducted by Cedatos Gallup Internacional Company in Sierra, Amazonia and Costa cities showed that 65 percent of the people reject or do not know about the FTA.

Likewise, another survey by Datanalisis firm revealed that 62.40 percent of those polled opposed the agreement for being destructive for the nation.

Both samples were taken amid indigenous protests against FTA, which will affect four million Ecuadorians if sealed, analysts think.
