Investors Want Money From
Canadian Firm
CBC News. Some residents
of Trinity Bay, N.L., say they
have a lot of questions about an
Edmonton company.
Responsible Planetary Concepts
Incorporated sells wholesale
products to build low-income
housing in Costa Rica. Canadians
buy things like windows and
doors to help build the homes.
When the homes are sold, the
investors are supposed to get
their money back and more.
But many people in Trinity Bay
say that hasn't happened for
them.
Lillian March attended a public
meeting last night in the area.
She said she was told she could
triple her money in three
months. She's been waiting since
July to see a payback.
"I work in a fish plant factory
and I figured if I can go in at
this and make money at this,"
she said. "[It] feels like I got
$5,200 threw away and I got it
on a Visa card just like a good
many more. I've been paying
interest on it since last
August."
Residents who attended last
night's public meeting say
they'll be looking into taking
legal action.
Responsible Planetary Concepts
Incorporated couldn't be reached
for comment over the weekend.
