Colombian Firms Settle Here
In addition to a number of
American and European large
companies settling in Costa
Rica, a growing number of
Colombian companies have also
chosen Costa Rica, given the
country's advantages to
manufacture and export,
according to Rafael Ramirez,
from the Ministry of Commerce.
He said that the Central
American nation has become a
gate to the United States and
European Union for Colombian
entrepreneurs, who take risks
here and in so doing create new
businesses, jobs, and wealth.
Ricardo Triana, chief of the
Commerce Office of the
Government of Colombia, said
that it is not easy to assess
the amount of Colombian
investment in Costa Rica, since
many companies do not contact
official agencies when settling
here.
