Palau Festival Leaves Park Filled With Trash
The Parque de la Paz was filled with happiness and joy over the weekend with the presence of Luis Palau and a host of Latin music starts. Reports say that several hundred thousand came out on the two nights - Friday and Saturday - for the event.

But, who picks up the garbage? No one, it appears.

Residents of the area around the Parque de la Paz became disillusioned yesterday when thousands of garbage bags, plastic bottles, paper - all kinds of trash - were still strewn all over the part and on one in sigh to pick it up.

The "Luis Palau San José 2006" brought together singers and dancers to fill the stage in between the gospel words of the Argentinian evangelist.

Rafael Arias, an official of the Municipalidad de San José, confirmed that the organizers were responsible for the clean up once the activity ended. But, now it appears that the taxpayers will end up footing the bill if they want to see the park cleaned.
