Victory May Shake Peru
Peru´s presidential candidate
for the New Left Movement (MNI)
Alberto Moreno said a win of
contender Lourdes Flores will
generate political and economic
havoc in Peru.
An April 9 win of the candidate
for Alianza Unidad Nacional will
bring social upheaval.
"The conservatives are beating a
dead horse with their failed
model and Flores represents a
neoliberal policy that
accumulates wealth in the hands
of few and exploits workers."
"Her election is socially
unacceptable since the people
are already desperate and that
is like adding fuel to the
flame," added that MNI leader.
She may say she'll create
650,000 new jobs a year, have
50,000 policemen in the streets
and create health insurance but
her record says otherwise and
she's desperate and without
support," says Moreno.
