Venezuela for Nuclear Peace
Venezuela pushed today for the full application of the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and approval of a program for their definitive eradication.

The Ministry of State for Integration and Foreign Trade also expressed its concern for the delay from some countries with large nuclear arsenals in ratifying the treaty, which includes international verification.

The declaration indicates that only with the complete elimination of those arsenals will humanity be able to live without fear of a nuclear holocaust.

The minister of Integration and Foreign Trade and representative of Venezuela in the International Atomic Energy Association, Gustavo Márquez, advocated the IAEA ease up on the Iranian nuclear program.

He said IAEA reports contain enough proof that there is no element in Iran´s nuclear program that is non-pacific and the country is cooperating with international authorities.
