Traffic Cop Punched For Offending Driver
An Oficial de Tránsito (Traffic Police) hurt and a driver arrested were the result of a scuffle in ther of the "mercado" (central market) in the town of Limón on the Caribbean coast.

The scuffle ensued after Tránsito, Pedro Arce Arias, requested that a man identified only by his last name, Delgado, produce his drivers license when he parked his vehicle in a restricted zone.

Delgado decided, however, to punch the traffic official, knocking Arce to the ground. Another five Tránsitos quickly were at the scene, restraining Delgado and arresting the man.

According to witnesses, the Tránsito officials insulted the man.
