Gasoline Prices Going Up Again
Here we go again, another change in the price of gasoline is around the corner, this time an increase.

The Autoridad Reguladora de Servicios Públicos (Aresep) received a required by te Refinadoa Costarricense de Petroleo (Recope) for an increase of ¢13 colones to the price of gasoline and diesel.

Once approved, the price for a litre of super gasoline will jump to ¢476 from the current price of ¢463 colones, regular will go to ¢453 from ¢440 and a litre of diesel fuel will cost ¢326 colones from the current ¢313.

Recope says the increase to adjust for the fluctuating price of crude oil on world markets. However, the price of crude oil set by the Petróleo Intermedio de Texas (WTI) - which is used as a base for prices in Costa Rica - fell to us$61.58 from s$62.41 yesterday.
