Plane Confiscated
A single-engine plane with a false registration number and with residues of drugs was confiscated by Costa Rican authorities at a dirt landing strip in Corredores, close to the Panamanian border.

According to anti-drug agents, the plane was ready to carry a load of drug to Mexico.

It had extra fuel tanks and the crew had left bottled water, tuna cans, a GPS, radios, and a chart showing the route to the state of Sinaloa, Mexico.

The sources added that this was the sixth small airplane taken from drug traffickers in the last couple of years, all of them in strips close to the Panamanian border.
