The Juan Santamaría
international airport was mobbed
yesterday afternoon with the
arrival for Costa Rica's Heroe,

friends, showed up to show
Vargas their appreciation and
support who was greeted by a
float blasting music and
television cameras.
Vargas arrived at 1:30pm and the
usual afternoon airpor crowd was
tripled. Not a parking space was
available on the ground level of
the airport parking lot and
traffic snarled as Tránsito
officials did their best to
clear the way.
Vargas, accompanied by his wife
Nelly and their children Josué
and Sofía, was hugged and kissed
by his admirers.
Businessman Alvaro Vargas, owner
of the El Rafaeleño provided one
of his tractor trailers as a
float to receive Humberto. with
music blaring from the
loudspeakers and screaming fans.
Ricardo Ramírez of the musical
group Editus as on hand, along
with Edgar Silva of the popular
morning show on Teletica's
channel 7.
The caravan slowly left the Juan
Santamaría airport with horn
blowing and shouts of the fans.
At this hour five North American

many North American tourists was
"where have we landed".
