Rotondas No Longer Useful,
Experts Say
The "rotondas" - the round
abouts - that are part of
driving in San José are just out
of date and each day cause more
traffic jams and becoming more
and more dangerous.
"Green" Alert Declared
The heavy rains that have been
constant for the last couple of
days in various areas has
prompted the Comisión Nacional
de Prevención de Riesgos y
Atención de Emergencias (CNE) to
declare a green alert for the
Caribbean, the Northern zone and
the Central Valley (San José)

Río Azul Now An Open Garbage Pit
It took some six years to
convert the Río Azul into a land
fill, where garbage was coverage
with dirt. However, due to a
Sala IV decision, in days the
land fill has become an open
garbage dump, full with the
stench and flies.
