“The Mystery of the Genesis” is
the name of an exhibit of 22
monumental sculptures – of up to
22 tons each – in Florence,
Italy, by Costa Rican sculptor
Jorge Jimenez-Deredia.
Inspired in the pre-Columbian
stone spheres found in Costa
Rica, the sculptures “invite
Italians and people from other
nations to discover the
philosophy enclosed in the
spheres,” said the author.
President Oscar Arias attended
the opening of the exhibit,
which is expected to attract 1.5
million people in the next four
months.
