President Pacheco Calls On All Citizens To Vote
Since the beginning of the year, president Abel Pacheco, has been silent and non-visible while the presidential election campaign runs at full speed during the next two weeks.

However, yesterday, in his Sunday night television address to the nation, he called on all Costa Ricans to do their duty and vote on February 5.

Voting, according to Pacheco, is not only a right but an obligation of all Costa Ricans who have the power to determine their future using their power of the vote.

"I respectfully and with total impartiality ask that every citizen exercise their vote on February 5 with enthusiasm and with the right to participate and choose the next government", Pacheco told his television audience last night.

"As a citizen, I will go to the voting booth and exercise my right and comply with my duty. As president, I will guard my impartiality and will be at the order of whoever, by the will of the people, will be elected to form the next government to work out the transition of power", said president Pacheco.

President Pacheco will relinquish is power at noon on May 8.
